A Narrative Study Of Rescue Plots In Science Fiction Films

This article takes human origin,"humanism",and "post-anthropology" as its core theories.It first extracts the rescue plots in the science fiction films,and then explains the "multiple people" in the rescue plots-the relationship between the rescuer and the rescued,and finally analyzes the "single person" in the rescue plots-the rescuer's actions and the impact of the rescue.It also sorts out and summarizes the rescue plots widely used in science fiction films and summarizes their practical significance.The scope of the study is mainly defined in the Saturn Awards,which has been held 45 times from 1973 to 2019.Among them,a total of 46 award-winning works of the Best Science Fiction Films are the main research objects.A total of more than 226(± 10)rescue episodes were extracted and seven types of rescue plot styles were summarized as follows: collaborative rescue plot,comprehensible rescue plot,sudden rescue plot,exploratory rescue plot,sacrificial rescue plot,help-seeking rescue plot,and intelligent rescue plot,so as to recognize science fiction film rescue plots and the three elements-dilemma,rescue method and rescue effect.At the same time,the relationship between the rescuer and the rescued is researched,and four types of basic character relationships are summarized as follows: expected character relationship,emotional character relationship,blood relationship character relationship,and voluntary character relationship.According to the characteristics of "human sociality",the overlapping phenomenon of the basic relationship between the rescuer and the rescued is explained in details.In this way,it makes it possible to dig deeper into the initiative and influence of the character's rescue operation.It also lays the foundation for thinking about the influencing factors of coincidence,information,and truth from the perspective of reality;measuring expectations,emotions,responsibilities,beliefs and other issues from the spiritual level.Therefore,based on the analysis of the rescue plots of the science fiction films,this article attempts to clarify the way forward in the deduction of the rescue plots,in order to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of the “rescue” person's behavior,and thus to understand the salvation characteristics and essence of various roles.
