Studies On The Turkish Party Politics(1991-2002)

As an Islamic country with the highest degree of democratization in the Middle East,Turkey's party politics has gone through the evolution path from the one-party system to the multi-party system and then to the single-party dominance of the AKP,which reflects the high integration of the development of Turkish party politics and the improvement of democratic politics.Among them,in the development of party politics in the 1990 s,the coalition government changed frequently,the party system became increasingly divided,and the ideology was polarized.To some extent,all kinds of political chaos laid the historical foundation for the AKP to come to power and stay in power for a long time.The party politics in the 1990 s studied in this paper is not only a reflection on the party of the motherland's ruling alone in the past decade,but also a historical basis for the continuous ruling of the AKP.Based on the analysis of the reasons for frequent government changes in Turkey from 1991 to 2002,this paper makes clear the main characteristics of party politics in this stage,and then explains the special status of this stage in the process of democratization in Turkey and its historical influence on the process of modernization in Turkey.This paper is divided into three parts: Introduction,text and conclusion.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reasons for selecting the topic,the significance of the research,the research methods,the chapter structure and other contents.It focuses on sorting out and reviewing the research achievements of the domestic and foreign academic circles on the theory of political party studies,the study of Turkish party politics and political democratization.At the same time,in order to study Turkish party politics in a scientific and detailed way,the mainstream theory of political party studies abroad is explained and applied in the research.The second part is the text,which is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the evolution of party politics in the Turkish republic.From the founding of the republic of Turkey in 1923 to the 1990 s discussed in this paper,the party politics of Turkey has experienced four periods: the period of one-party system,the period of emergence of multi-party system,the period of development of multi-partysystem and the period of party political stability.This paper focuses on the characteristics of the development of Turkish party politics at all stages and the internal and external factors influencing the democratization process in Turkey.The second chapter is a comprehensive review of the development of the main parties in the 1990 s coalition government pedigree.This chapter in the 1990 s is active in Turkish politics to form a coalition government of parties are introduced,including the CHP,DYP,RP,MHP,DSP,SODEP,and combined with the classification of the type of political parties in the ZhengDangXue about its origin,development,aspects such as ideology,ruling practice to conduct a comprehensive combing.The third chapter mainly analyzes the process of regime change during the coalition government of Turkey in 1990 s.This chapter by use of the theory of Turkey's electoral system and electoral coalition government during parliamentary and presidential elections in the 1990 s were analyzed,and then comb parties combined to form a government and regime change process and all previous coalition government ruling practice,and from Turkey electoral system,the development of the party,the party ruling ability of the party politics Angle and traditional religious factors such as social economy further to explore the reason of previous coalition government regime change.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the political characteristics of political parties and their historical influence on Turkey in the 1990 s.This chapter mainly analyzes the characteristics of party politics in Turkey in the 1990 s from three aspects: the characteristics of party system,the characteristics of coalition government and political democratization,and discusses the influence of the weak position of coalition government on the process of democratization in Turkey and the continuous ruling of ak party in the 1990 s.The third part is the conclusion.Based on the research of the Turkish party politics in the 1990 s,analyses the main characteristic of the stage of party politics,the stage as Turkey's development and improve the continuity of party politics transition,as AKP electoral history basis in power,and to provide long-term ruling AKP political experience and practical reference.Turkey's political development path,as a typical party system in a late modern country,will be an important reference for other developing countries.
