Reading teaching has traditionally been the focus of English learning,considering that the English reading score of the college entrance examination accounts for one third of the total score.With the promulgation of high school English curriculum standards,more requirements have been put forward on English reading.Traditional reading teaching no longer meets students' needs for English reading and it is difficult to raise students' interest.The reform of educational modernization has established a platform that organically integrates traditional offline teaching with online teaching on the Internet,and hybrid teaching models have emerged as the times require.Among them,MOOC set off a wave in China in 2013.MOOC instructional video,as an important online teaching resource,is also loved by teachers and students,and can be used as an essential teaching supplement for pre-class and post-review review.Therefore,this study selects WeChat platform as an online teaching tool,and designs the students' teaching plan in advance,during and after class to form the blended teaching model of senior high school English reading based on MOOC to conduct a four-month teaching experiment.This study was made in a high school in Harbin.The research object was a total of96 students in two classes in the second grade.The main research is three questions:First,what is the current status of English reading teaching in senior high schools and students' understanding of MOOC and blended teaching models? Second,how to design and implement the blended teaching model of senior high school English reading based on MOOC? Finally,does the blended teaching model of senior high school English reading based on MOOC improves high school students' English reading performance and interest? The author uses the interview method to analyze and discuss the first research question.After reviewing the literature,the author found that the blended teaching mode of Li Fengqing(2016)and Guo Liping(2018)is more suitable for the current high school English teaching situation.The author utilizes the two models as a framework and uses constructivism theory and deep learning theory.And autonomous learning theory as the theoretical basis to design a blended teaching model of Englishreading in high school to solve the second research problem.In response to question three,the author first adopted a quantitative research method,conducted four English reading tests and questionnaire surveys in two classes in a test manner,and utilized the SPSS22.0 data statistics tool to organize and analyze the data.The research method is to conduct front-to-back interviews to explore the impact of this blended teaching mode on English reading in high school.The author will discuss the research conclusion from three aspects.Firstly,the interview with teachers and students before the experiment indicates that there are many problems in English reading teaching in high schools recently.There is a feasibility and necessity for the blended teaching mode on English reading in high school.Secondly,based on a large number of literature reviews and reviews.The author regards Li Fengqing's three-stage model and Guo Liping's high school English blended teaching model as examples to design the blended teaching model of senior high school English reading based on MOOC.Finally,through 16 weeks of teaching experiments and analysis of score data,it is found that the reading score of the experimental class is significantly improved compared with the control class and the post-test score of the experimental class is significantly improved compared with the pre-test score.Among them,the students in the high-segment had less improvement in performance,and the students in the lower-segment had better progress.After the post-test interview and questionnaire survey,the students in the experimental class said that the effect of watching the MOOC video is better than that of traditional teaching model.Besides,they are more satisfied with this mixed teaching mode,and feel that the teaching experiment is very rewarding.Therefore,the author concludes that the blended teaching model of senior high school English reading based on MOOC has a good promotion effect on improving students 'English reading performance and it has improved student' reading interest and reading ability.
