ABB-type adjectives are a kind of state adjectives,which can accurately express the image color and emotional color of things.Therefore,it is very colloquial and often appears in daily life.However,in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the author found that Laos international students have common errors in using ABB-type adjectives.This paper discusses the types and causes of errors of ABB-type adjectives of Laos international students by collecting sentence-making exercises of ABB-type adjectives of Laos international students and some data collected during my internship in the intermediate Lao class,and puts forward some targeted teaching suggestions.This article is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the ABB-type adjectives introduction,which mainly introduces the reason of the topic selection,the research status of ABB-type adjectives ontology and the research status of ABB-type adjectives teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and explains the research method and the source of the corpus.The second chapter is about errors of ABB-type adjectives of Laos international students.In this chapter,we conduct statistics on the collected ABB-type adjectives corpus and identify errors of the ABB-type adjectives and then conclude that the types of ABB-type adjectives are mainly grammatical errors,semantic errors and pragmatic errors.The third chapter is the reason of the ABB-type adjectives.In this chapter,we attribute these errors to the complexity of the ABB adjective itself,the negative transfer of mother tongue,the generalization of knowledge in the target language,the unreasonable compilation of textbooks,the inadequate teaching of teachers and the influence of students' learning strategies.The fourth chapter is teaching strategy.According to the types of errors of ABB-type adjectives and their causes,this chapter puts forward pertinent suggestions from three aspects: textbook compilation,teacher teaching and student learning suggestions.In addition,this paper also provides the design of teaching cases,hoping to provide some reference for teaching.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the main contents of this article and points out the innovations and deficiencies of this article.
