Exploration Of Space Expression By "line" Plastic Art In Black And White Woodcuts

As one of the most basic elements of painting,line exists in all kinds of painting.Although there are obvious differences in the way of line expression in Chinese and Western paintings,it does not affect the basic way of modeling at all.Black and white woodcut is the pursuit of strong visual expression of the painting form,in our analysis and research of black and white woodcut to express the sense of space,we will find that "line" sense of order,line area,line density is particularly important to the performance of the work."Line" is expressed through the use of knife techniques,which also determines the uniqueness of woodcut,"push,side,swing,shake" and other different knife techniques,so that the picture produced different effects.This paper studies the spatial expression of lines in black and white woodcuts,and summarizes how lines express the sense of space from the use of perspective,the change of line color,the ordering of lines,and the application of knife techniques.Combined with the research content,talk about the practical application of "line" in my series of graduation creations.The expression of the spatial sense of black and white woodcut research line is not only conducive to the further development of black and white woodcut,but also has an important significance for my later creation of black and white woodcut.
