There are many writings about go in ancient Chinese novels,among which female go is an important part.This paper focuses on the female chess writing in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,analyzes the identity types and image characteristics of the female chess characters in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties from the perspective of the combination of traditional and modern,discusses the specific functions of female chess to the text,excavates the meaning of female chess in the novels,and explores the cultural reasons.In the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,female chess can be divided into boudoir chess,fairy chess and prostitute chess from the perspective of identity.Women's identity is different,and the writing of chess is also different.Ancient China was an era of status.In the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,women show different characters in playing chess,which are shown as follows: first,both appearance and talent.Secondly,it is equal to or superior to the intelligence of men.Third,dare to show personal pursuit and desire.The writing of women's chess plays an important role in the characterization,plot setting and narrative process of the novel.Chess often becomes a narrative clue,promotes the development and transition of the plot,and becomes an important skill and method for characterization,narrative rhythm and plot hint.Generally speaking,women's chess can slow down the narrative rhythm,show the family atmosphere,construct narrative clues,and hint the development of plot.Chess has become an integral part of the novel narrative.As an art,chess embodies the characteristics of intellectual beauty.Because of the constant infiltration of chess and literature,women's chess plays an important aesthetic significance in the novel.In the age of men's superiority and women's inferiority,as one of the four arts of "Qin,chess,calligraphy and painting",chess has been endowed with more cultural connotation and aesthetic significance besides "virtue,speech and women's skill".From the perspective of modern feminism,the writing of women's chess in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties shows men's imagination of women in the patriarchal society,and contains the ideal of male writers.This is determined by the gender structure and gender ideology of ancient society,which is the root of the inequality of women's social status and social status.Therefore,the shaping of female body beauty and the demanding of etiquette make the writing of female chess have the color of male center.
