Study On The Historical Geography Of Shang Cai City

Shangcai County,located in the southeast of Henan province and the north of Huaibei plain,is subordinate to Zhumadian City.Shangcai County has a long history,forming a unique Fuxi Culture,Cai culture,Lisi culture,Chongyang culture,Confucius culture,known as the "Millennium ancient county" reputation.In order to provide reference for the development of Shangcai City,this paper studies the changes of Shangcai City.Shangcai County has a history of about 2500 years.In the late spring and autumn period,the Chu State wiped out Cai State and appointed Qiji as the county official,it was the first time to set up Shangcai County.After Qin Shihuang unified China,he set up thirty-six counties,and Shangcai County was part of Yingchuan county.It belonged to Runan County during the Western Han Dynasty.During the period of Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,it was renamed Wujin County and Linru county.In the Sui Dynasty,it was renamed Shangcai County.At the beginning of Tang Dynasty,it was abandoned and later restored.In the Song Dynasty,Shangcai County was under the jurisdiction of Caizhou.It was subordinate to Runing in the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties.Shangcai City has flat terrain,pleasant climate,convenient transportation and superior geographical conditions,which is conducive to the rise of Shangcai City.During the Western Zhou Dynasty,Shudu went to the fiefdom and established the state of CAI here,which was the earliest city in Shangcai County,it has been listed as a national key protection unit.The wall of Ancient Town of Cai Kingdom was a rammed earth wall,after the war,they were repaired and rebuilt many times.When it developed to the Qing Dynasty,Shangcai City formed a flat urban pattern with the county office as the center,supplemented by academies,temples and shops.In general,the population of Shangcai City in ancient times was on the rise.Shangcai County is located in the inland,influenced by thought of emphasizing agriculture,it has always been dominated by agricultural economy,it is one of the main producing areas of wheat,corn and soybean in Henan Province.Economic crops such as sesame,cotton,and peanuts are also significant components of agriculture in Shangcai County.The business of Shangcai County started late,and it was not until the Republic of China thatforeign businessmen came here to do business.During the period of the Republic of China,Shangcai City was repeatedly violated by the Japanese army,the shops closed down one after another,and the business was very depressed.After the founding of the people's Republic of China,the government actively developed business and Shangcai's economy improved.The educational cause in Shangcai City is also developing constantly,and Shangcai academy was established in song and Yuan Dynasties,and many students were cultivated in County schools and private schools.The religious belief of Shangcai County has various characteristics,Taoism,Buddhism,Christianity and Catholicism.Among them,Taoism was introduced into Shangcai County earlier,and Buddhism belief was more common.In the Republic of China,Christianity and Catholicism were also introduced into Shangcai County.In the long years,many historical and cultural celebrities have sprung up in Shangcai County,leaving precious cultural heritage for Shangcai County.After the founding of new China,the development of Shangcai City has opened a new page.Shangcai County take on an altogether new aspect in the establishment of specialized agencies in the people's government for the planning and construction of the county town.However,some problems occurred in the process of its development,such as the destruction of historical and cultural sites,and the traditional festivals becoming more formality.this is extremely unfavorable to Shangcai,which enjoys the reputation of "Millennium ancient county".In order to solve many problems in the process of city development,the government should improve the urban planning,deeply explore the historical and cultural resources in the territory,plan the urban construction and historic site protection as a whole,vigorously develop the tourism industry,so as to make Shangcai City develop better and faster.
