The Research Of Time-category In XuanShiZhi

Time has been closely related to human production and life since ancient times.As an ancient language,there are a lot of expressions about time in Chinese.With the development of Chinese research,the research about Chinese time-category has received more and more attention from language researchers.At present,more achievements have been made in the study of time-category about modern Chinese.While,research on Chinese time-category about ancient Chinese is weaker.To try to construct the time-category system,the thesis takes the novel XuanShiZhi,which was written in the late Tang Dynasty,as the research object.The writer hopes that the face of Chinese time-category in late Tang Dynasty could be showed by the research on the novel XuanShiZhi.The main body of the thesis includes the following five parts:The first chapter is introduction.It mainly includes the definition of time-category,description of the research status of the time-category and the research status,research significance and research methods of XuanShiZhi.The second chapter is the study on the tense-category of XuanShiZhi.This part is mainly divided into the following two major categories: “time series” and “time order”.“Time series” is divided into two major parts: “time point” and “ time period”;“time order”is divided into two major parts:“simultaneity” and “sequence”.The third chapter is the study on the aspect category of XuanShiZhi.It's mainly divided into five parts: the original body,the starting body,the continuous body,the already body,and the experienced body.The fourth chapter is the use of the time-point words which means in one day from XuanShiZhi in Tang Dynasty.Through the comparative analysis of the use of the time-point words which means in one day from XuanShiZhi in the other novels of the Tang Dynasty,the writer hopes to explore the use of these words in Tang Dynasty.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.The writer gathers and analyzes the expression of the tense and aspect in XuanShi Zhi,and establishes the time category system of XuanShi Zhi.
