Simple In Form And Rich In Content——study On The Composing And Performance Of Faure’s Op.84

In this paper,the main research piano work<8 Pieces breves>Op.84 was created by Faure from 1869 to 1902,which spanning a long period of time.It is composed of eight pieces with different genre,tonality and style.The melody is simple and fluent,the harmony is novel and variable.It is a unique and expressive works.The paper will focus on two main points,including music characteristics and performance skill interpretation,and explore its basic characteristics in harmony,tonality,texture,style and the way of performance.The paper is divided into three chapters,the first chapter is a brief introduction of three aspects,including the background of French music from 19th century to the 20th century,Faure’s paino music creation and the background of<8 Pieces breves>Op.84;the second chapter analyzes six aspects of this work,including Genre arrangement,musical form,theme construction,melody appearance,harmonic characteristics and tonality change;The third chapter is based on the combination of theory and practice to illustrate this work’s performance skills.
