The Relationship Between Nervous System Strength?intellectual Efficiency And Proactive Personality In High School Students

Proactive personality has an important impact on people's mental and behavior.Based on the literature research,we found that self-efficacy is closely related to proactive personality.And there is no relevant researches have explored the relationship between nervous system strength,intellectual efficiency and proactive personality and the mechanism of proactive personality.Accordingly,this study aims to explore the relationship between nervous system strength,intellectual efficiency and proactive personality,and further investigate the mediating role of self-esteem and self-efficacy.This study takes 936 high school students from five high schools in Nantong as subjects.The questionnaire used the following scale:Strelau scale,intellectual efficiency scale,proactive personality scale,Rosenberg self-esteem scale and general self-efficacy scale.The survey used software SPSS 22.0 for descriptive statistics,difference test,correlation analysis and build a structural equation model through process to investigate the relationship between nervous system,intellectual efficiency and proactive personality.The results show that:(1)There is a significant difference in the intensity of nervous system between genders.The proactive personality of students in senior one is higher than that of passing students.There is a significant difference in self-esteem between the only child and non-only child;(2)Nervous system strength,intellectual efficiency,self-esteem,self-efficacy and proactive personality showed significant positive correlation;(3)Nervous system strength is related to proactive personality through the partial mediating effect of self-esteem and self-efficacy;(4)Intellectual efficiency is related to proactive personality through the complete mediating effect of self-esteem and self-efficacy;(5)Self-esteem and self-efficacy play a chain intermediary role between nervous system strength and proactive personality;self-esteem and self-efficacy play a chain intermediary role between intellectual efficiency and proactive personality.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Nervous system strength can positively predict proactive personality and indirectly affect the level of proactive personality partly through the chain mediating effect of self-esteem and self-efficacy;(2)Intelligence efficiency can positively predict proactive personality and indirectly affect the level of proactive personality through the chain mediating effect of self-esteem and self-efficacy.
