Research On Teaching Of Essay Writing In HSK (Level5) Examination

Writing is one of the main skills in learn Chinese,it is also one of the difficulties for second language learners.HSK(level 5)includes writing section,reading section and listening section.The essay writing section took majority of the proportions and scores in the writing section.In the teaching and learning of Chinese writing is worthy of attention and research.This thesis carries out a research at Confucius institute of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria.It studies on the teaching and learning of essays in HSK(level 5)writing section.Firstly,it analyzes the examination requirements and test questions of HSK(level 5)examination syllables,and clarifies the syllables requirements and teaching objectives.Secondly,this thesis investigates the current teaching situation of essay writing in Confucius Institute of Nnamdi Azikiwe University,finds out the problems,deeply understands the problems in the teaching and learning process,and analyzes the achievements and shortcomings of teaching essay writing.Thirdly,the researcher combined the investigation and analysis of the research with the reflections and understanding during teaching practise at Confucius Institute of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.The thesis analyzes the problems existing in the teaching of HSK(level 5)essay writing,including teachers and students` attitudes towards writing,writing thinking and language habits,the main errors in HSK(level 5)essay writing and the problems of “high marks and low abilities”.Finally,some suggestions are put forward for the teaching and learning of essay writing in Confucius Institute of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.In the aspect of helping students to prepare for the examination,there should be intensive teaching and intensive practice,train students thinking ability,focus more on correcting students major writing errors,and make full use of Internet resources to improve students` autonomous learning ability.In the aspect of real improvement of writing ability,the thesis suggest cultivation of students` correct learning concept,adjust the teaching content,improve teaching methods,combine the teaching of writing with reading,make full use of the internet to improve students` interest in learning.In addition,the teaching plan of HSK(level 5)essay writing is given,please criticize and correct.
