Flipped classroom,as an emerging teaching model of informational education in the Internet era, breaks with the learning method of internalizing knowledge through acquiring knowledge from teachers during class and completing homework after class in the traditional teaching process.Instead,it allows students to internalize knowledge by acquiring knowledge through videos after class and teacher-guided interaction in class to realize the so-called "flipped" of the classroom. This teaching model is welcomed by learners because it achieves personalized learning and promotes the interaction between teaching and learning to the greatest extent. In recent years, there has been a lot of flipped classroom experiments regarding different classes of elementary and intermediate Chinese(speaking, listening, writing, comprehensive classes)in the TCSOL circle, and has achieved inspiring results.During our internship at the Confucius Institute at Durban University of Technology in South Africa,we accepted level 2,level 3,and level 4 teaching tasks. After observing the class, conducting interviews and surveys and consulting with students for more than one month, bold attempts were carried out to reform the comprehensive teaching of elementary Chinese.Through flipped classroom experiments,we aim at solving the problems encountered in teaching Chinese such as boring courses and lack of passion for students to learn Chinese. On the basis of sorting out the teaching theory of flipped classroom and combining the practical Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute at Durban University of Technology, this paper attempts to design a relatively successful teaching plan for the elementary comprehensive course "She bought a lot of crafts".The paper not only analyzed the characteristics of the teaching objects and the content of the text, but also determined the learning objectives and the key points and difficulties of the teaching. After formulating a specific implementation plan for four class hours, evaluation and reflection of the implementation plan was completed.
