Datong military town in northern Shanxi,one of the nine important military towns in Ming Dynasty,undertakes the military task of defending Beijing and Central Plains.After the Ming Dynasty and the Mongolian right wing reach Peace talks during the Longqing period of Ming dynasty,Datong military town controlled more than ten important markets of Ming and Mongolian trade,and became an important area for economic and cultural exchanges between Mongolian and Han nationalities.After entering the Qing Dynasty,with the unification of the Qing Dynasty,the Mongolian and Han nationality become a big family.Datong military town became the inland of the Qing Dynasty,and gradually lost its important frontier defense function.From Shunzhi to Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty,the rulers adopted a series of measures to reform it and gradually transformed the military towns into common unit of Green Standard Army which also caused a series of social changes.The paper focuses on the reform of Datong military town in Qing Dynasty.Study its development trend in the late Ming Dynasty,disintegration of garrison system,the Green Standard Army of Datong military town in Qing Dynasty,and influence of military system change on population,culture and Commerce.The first chapter provides an overview of the origin of Datong military town,its establishment in the Ming Dynasty,and the development trend of Datong military town after peace talks during the Longqing period of Ming Dynasty.It is pointed out that the waste of the Great Wall is an inevitable trend.The change of Datong military town has laid the foundation for the further development of the Qing Dynasty since the late Ming Dynasty.The second chapter mainly deals with the Datong military town lost the former military status and role after entering the Qing Dynasty,and the government through a series of measures cut its establishment,so as to strengthen the local rule.The original system of Datong military town was replaced by the new Green Standard Army of the Qing Dynasty,the old army was adapted to the Qing's green camp,and the surplus soldiers were cut.There Great Wall of Datong is abandoned,military fortress becomes village.The former military control area was governed by administrative officials in the early years of Yongzheng.The third chapter analyses the system of Datong military town in the Qing Dynasty,and points out that the nature has changed.which has become the town in the Green Standard Army of Qing Dynasty,although the status and function are not as important as the Ming Dynasty,but it is still of great significance to Qing Ting's rule.The fourth chapter discusses the influence of the change of Datong military town on local commerce and culture,such as the trade around theGreat Wall turns to the outside,increase of the commercial immigrants,the development of the education and civilization in the area,the former border town is no different from the mainland in the end.Datong military town has a high position in the nine military towns of the Ming Dynasty,and its reform is of great typical significance,which can generally reflect the evolution process of the nine-side military town in the early Qing Dynasty after it became the mainland in the early Qing Dynasty.Since the late Ming Dynasty,the process of cultural exchange has been accelerated in Mongolian and Han Populace,and the abolishment of the Great Wall and the abolishment of the Great Wall are the general trend.The unification of the Qing Dynasty just complied with this trend.In early Qing Dynasty,the rulers promoted this process at the political level,so the state of isolation and blockade between the mainland and the Mongolian prairie was gradually broken,which complied with the progress of the times and the needs of the Mongolian and Han people,and was conducive to the growth and development of the unified multi-ethnic country.
