A large number of studies have shown that people's mental health is closely related to interpersonal relationships.Interpersonal problems are always an important factor threatening the mental health of college students.As a stable and dynamic belief system,interpersonal values affect the individual cognition,emotion and behavior in interpersonal communication.In the past two decades,the penetration of the Internet has changed the traditional mode of interpersonal communication,affecting the views of this generation of college students on society and others,and bringing about more problems such as mobile phone dependence and loneliness.Previous studies on interpersonal values focused more on object attributes and ignored relationship attributes.This study aims to explore the structure and characteristics of interpersonal values of college students in the context of network social interaction,and explore the role of interpersonal values in the relationship between mobile phone dependence and loneliness,mental health.In Research 1,a formal scale of College Students Interpersonal Values was developed after 13 college students were interviewed and a total of 998 college students were tested.Research 2 and research 3 measured their interpersonal values,cell phone dependence,loneliness and mental health elated variables by taking a random sample of 1151 college students.On the one hand,the characteristics of their interpersonal values were explored,and on the other hand,the relationship model among the variables was tested.The results show that:(1)Compared with the previous scales,the self-complied College Students Interpersonal Value Scale comprehensively considers the object attribute of communication and the need of subject relationship.It contains 34 items,which are divided into 6 dimensions: external characteristics,psychological quality,personal ability,emotional communication,social exchange,and self-presentation.It has a good reliability and validity;(2)Contemporary college students attach importance to psychological quality and emotional communication,and junior college students,college students who grow up in rural areas and college students who are not the only child pay more attention to personal ability and resource utilization in interpersonal communication;(3)Loneliness mediates the relationship between cell phone dependency and mental health;(4)Multiple dimensions of interpersonal values moderate the relationship between mobile phone dependence and loneliness,depression,life satisfaction.
