This paper tries to analyze the style characteristics of Wang Chong's Xiaokai,and discusses the causes of Wang Chong's calligraphy style,Wang Chong's Xiaokai's style characteristics and Wang Chong's inspiration to my creation from three aspects:First,The origin of Wang Chong's calligraphy style.Wang Chong was born in a city family,but he didn't like the noise when he was a child.He devoted himself to learning.Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism had a subtle influence on Wang Chong's thought and aesthetics.In addition,Suzhou in the middle of Ming Dynasty had developed economy,rich life and strong atmosphere of literati painting and calligraphy.In the above aspects,they constitute the cause of Wang Chong's calligraphy style.Second,Wang Chong's style and characteristics of Xiaokai.Wang Chong's representative works in different periods are used to explore his style features and artistic features of "taking self-sufficiency as the face and cleverness as the heart".The style features of Wang Chong's Xiaokai are compared with those of "Taige style" representative calligraphers and Wumen school representative calligraphers.Third,Wang Chong's inspiration to my calligraphy creation.Through sorting out Wang Chong's works,I am familiar with the differences and characteristics of Wang Chong's works in different periods.Wang Chong's works in different periods were carefully copied,Wang Chong's brushwork and body characteristics were understood,his characteristics were combined with the author's creation,and the creation process was explained in detail.
