The positive influence of the network on life as an information medium can not be ignored. The network altruistic behavior is a typical representative of the positive aspects of the network, which refers to the voluntary behavior that individuals do not expect any return in the network.Empathy may be an important reason for altruistic behavior among strangers on the Internet. The relationship between moral identity and Internet altruistic behavior is also very close. In the past, moral identity was considered as an important motivation of individual altruistic behavior.Empathy and moral identity play an important role in the network altruistic behavior, but the existing researches ignore the exploration of its internal mechanism. This study explores the influence of empathy on the network altruistic behavior and the intermediary role of moral identity. In this paper,329 college students were investigated by questionnaire, using the college students' network altruistic behavior scale compiled by Zheng Xianliang, the college students' empathy and power scale compiled by Pan Xiaofu, and the moral identity scale revised by Wan Zengkui and others. This paper studies the intermediary role of moral identity in the process of influence of empathy on Internet altruistic behavior, explores the internal mechanism of empathy on Internet altruistic behavior of college students, and provides theoretical support and reference basis for college students to reasonably guide Internet communication,so as to play the positive role of Internet on individual psychology and behavior. The results show that:1.There are significant differences in empathy in gender, whether they are the only child, place of origin, grade and Internet age.The level of empathy of female college students was significantly higher than that of male college students;the dimensions of self emotion recognition and positive coping of female college students were significantly higher than that of male college students. The level of empathy of the non only child was significantly higher than that of the only child;the dimensions of self emotion recognition, other emotion recognition, consistent understanding and positive coping of the non only child were significantly higher than that of the only child. There are significant differences in emotion recognition, consistent understanding and negative coping among students. There were significant differences in the total score of empathy and the dimensions of self emotion recognition, others' emotion recognition and reverse understanding.2.There is no significant difference in gender in moral identity. There are significant differences in whether they are the only child, the place of origin, the grade and the age of Internet. The moral identity level of the non only child is significantly higher than that of the only child;the moral internalization level of the non only child is significantly higher than that of the only child. There are significant differences in the representational dimensions in the source areas.3.There is a significant difference in the network altruistic behavior between male and female students. There is no significant difference in the network altruistic behavior between the only child and the age of the network. There is a significant difference in the source and grade of the students.4.There is a significant positive correlation between empathy, moral identity and network altruistic behavior.Regression analysis shows that empathy has a positive predictive effect on moral identity and network altruistic behavior;moral identity has a positive predictive effect on network altruistic behavior.5.Moral identity plays a part of mediating role between empathy and altruistic behavior on the Internet, and the proportion of mediating effect to total effect is 79.25 %.
