Words Are Full But Meanings Are Endless

As an important part of Chinese artistic skills,leaving blank,which is closely related to the composition of a picture,addresses the harmonies of void and reality and a way of expression that regards white as black.By exquisite plan of leaving blank,a picture will come to a harmonious state that can strengthen it's spatial and breathable feeling,thus presents an abstruse atmosphere.Nowadays the skill of leaving blank is widely used in various forms of art.This paper mainly discusses the uses of leaving blank in sculpture.The discuss in this paper includes two aspect,step by step: texture and trace and analysis of works of artists.During the development of Chinese sculpture,Chinese artists have got a deeper understanding about sculpture and have been introduced to related theories from other countries.Consequently,leaving blank have been probing its way in the field of sculpture.Positive and negative space,as an important part of sculpture space,has been given more and more attentions,the feelings to which are also changing as time goes by.At the end of this paper,based on the work of the writer,there will be a discussion about the uses of positive and negative space,and about the writer's understanding of feelings.
