A Study On The Creative Technique And Style Characteristics Of Xin Hu Guang's Orchestra "Grasslang Suite"

The orchestral "Grassland suite" is a large symphony composed by the famous contemporary female composer and music educator,Xin Huguang,with the theme of Mongolian folk songs and integration of Mongolian customs and herdsmen's life.It is one large-scale orchestral music adapted from Mongolian folk songs in her hundreds of music works.In this huge structure of the work,there are rich contents integrating with Mongolian folk music materials,combination of western traditional composing techniques and Western musical instruments,hence the great work with the Mongolian music characteristics which performs Mongolian traditional folk music material incisively and vividly.The new face of grassland has been shown from many aspects in this music.Grassland has a unique astonishing beauty,the vast,blue sky,and the charm of customs.The creation background of grassland theme has always been favored by Chinese composers.In Inner Mongolia,the gradual formation of music creation led by the style of grassland music school is inseparable from the efforts of generations of composers.It is absolutely necessary to comb and study the Mongolian style symphonic works of the older generation composers and systematically research the creation techniques of Grassland suite,this large-scale orchestral music with Mongolian style,such as: the characteristics of melody rotation,harmony configuration,the combination of Chinese and western composition techniques,creation genre,creation background,artistic connotation,etc.Which is of great significance to the creation and development of Mongolian style symphony.The purpose of this paper lies in thorough research in this area,trying to summarize the creation characteristics of Mongolian style orchestral music and composer's creation style by combining with all aspects of the above research.The author will make a comprehensive analysis of Xin huguang's orchestral "Granssland suite" from all aspects of musical morphology,so as to study Xin huguang's creative thinking and techniques,which we can use as guidance for our future creation and development of Mongolian style orchestral music art.This paper mainly studies the characteristics of the composition techniques of Grassland suite,explores the close combination of national music and western traditional composition techniques,the integration of the materials of Mongolian folk songs in the creation of Western orchestras not only increases the forms of expression of national music,but also adds a lot of new colors to national music,while creating a positive impact onthe development of Chinese orchestras,and opening up a broad field of vision for the development and inheritance of Mongolian folk songs in China,and adding new vitality for Mongolian music.
