Artistic Research On Zheng Xiaojuan's Fine Brushwork Figure Painting

Zheng Xiaojuan,as one of the masters of the old generation in Hunan fine brushwork circle,has devoted herself to the artistic creation and research of fine brushwork figure paintings for more than sixty years and has made important contributions to the development of Hunan fine brush work.Through the comprehensive application of traditional fine brushwork art,folk art and western art,she formed a uniquepainting language and created a new painting form in fine brushwork figure painting.Zheng Xiaojuan's achievements in fine brushwork figure painting is obvious to all.Many of her works have been selected for national and international exhibitions and got many awards and some works have been collected by agencies at home and abroad.What's more,Zheng Xiaojuan's artistic thought has influenced many young and middle-aged painters while she was the chief editor of Hunan Fine Arts Press,which has positive and far-reaching influence on the prosper of Hunan fine brushwork.The over sixty years artistic exploration and research on fine brushwork figure painting performed by Zheng Xiaojuan greatly not only enriched the connotation of Hunan fine brushwork figure painting but also have great practical significant and certain enlightenment on the research of contemporary Chinese fine brushwork.This thesis regards the fine brushwork figure painting works created by Zheng Xiaojuan in her whole life as objects to conduct an artistic research from the aspects of artistic course,artistic characteristics and artistic influence through case analysis.Chapter one illuminates the background,significance,research status,research content and research method of this thesis.In chapter two,the first part is a personal introduction to Zheng Xiaojuan from the aspects of life experience and artistic course and the second part explores the source of her artistic characteristics in fine brushwork painting from three stages,that is early stage,the growing-up stage,and the maturity stage.Chapter three analyzes the artistic characteristics of Zheng Xiaojuan's fine brushwork painting in the aspects of theme,modelling and color.Chapter four discusses her artistic influence based on her drawing art and artistic pursuit.The last chapter summarizes Zheng Xiaojuan's artistic characteristics and artistic thought.
