A Report On Interpreting For An Exchange Meeting Between A Pakistani Agricultural Scholar And Agricultural Experts In Shijiazhuang

This report is based on the author's interpreting practice of serving a Pakistani agricultural scholar who visited Shijiazhuang for brand agriculture inspection and academic exchange activities.During the practice,the author was to be responsible for the daily communication and academic exchanges of the Pakistani scholar.Taking Daniel Gile's Effort model and Comprehension Equation as the theoretical bases,this report analyzes the effort allocation and comprehension problems in the practice,aiming to make the interpretation more accurate and thus improve the quality of the target language.From this practice,the author deeply realizes the importance of mastering solid knowledge of the language,relevant extra-linguistic knowledge,necessary emergency skills and appropriate distribution of the four elements of Effort model to optimize the quality of interpretation.
