This source text is selected from the official website of the United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO),entitled “Right to Education Handbook ”.In this practice,Chapter Eight of this handbook,entitled“Accountability and the right to education”,is selected as corpus for translation.This report is composed of four chapters.The first chapter is the description of translation task,covering the analysis of translation background,the text content,and the interpretation of translation significance.The second chapter describes the translation process,including the translation of preparation,the translation process and the proofreading.The third chapter describes some problems encountered and analyzes the translation strategies in combination with cases,such as following the rules of lexical collocation,highlighting legal characteristics of modal verbs,adjusting the structural sequence,consulting parallel texts,clarifying textual information within the context.The fourth chapter is the summary of translation practice,including analysis of the remaining problems and future prospects..The translator paid attention to the expression of information to ensure the accuracy and professionalism of the version.This translation practice has trained the ability of translator to retrieve information and solve problems,and at the same time,the translator also recognizes her own shortcomings,which will promote the translator to strengthen the study of theoretical knowledge and improve practical ability.
