After the World War II,relations between the Soviet Union and the Western world led by the United States gradually became tense. The United States felt a huge threat to the measures taken by the Soviet Union after the war and believed that it was not conducive to the national security of the United States. In order to maintain national security, the United States formally established the CIA to analyze and predict the intention of the Soviet Union's actions. The CIA plays an important role in containment strategy of the United States. This article is divided into three parts, starting from 1947 to 1948,1948 to 1949,and 1949 to 1950.The analysis of the CIA documents shows that the CIA believes that the Soviet Union is threatening the United States national security interests. However, most of the analysis of the USSR by the CIA in the early Cold War did not faithfully reflect the Soviet intentions.Over time, under the influence of the CIA,the United States believed that the scope and depth of the Soviet Union's threats were gradually increasing and deepening. Therefore, the United States had also adopted corresponding countermeasures and escalated, resulting in misunderstandings between the United States and the Soviet Union. They gradually moved towards the opposite path.
