The joint word is a special type of word in Chinese.It consists of two syllables,but it is generally believed that each of these two syllables is not meaningful.Only when the two syllables are integrated,it is meaningful.Because of the particularity of the words,it is difficult for leaner to learn the words.This article is based on Xuzhenbang's The Dictionary of Spontaneous Words,Selects 12 joint words in the New HSK Outline Vocabulary(1-6)and Chinese Level Vocabulary and Chinese CharacterOutline(“flooding”“absurd”“wandering”“romantic”“enthusiastic”“swaying”“ambiguous”“hole”“Linglong”“generous”“geda”“ganga”)are the objects of study,linking the multi-sense words with the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The full text is divided into four parts:The first chapter is the introduction,explaining the research background,research significance and research methods.This paper reviews the previous researches on Mianyue,the extended study on the meaning of Chinese polysemous words based on cognitive linguistics,and the study on the teaching of related Mianyue to Chinese as a foreign language.The second chapter is the main part of the paper,which divides 12 polygynous words into four categories according to the "righteousness" method.They are polygynous words(“flooding”“enthusiastic”and“swaying”)where the meaning of the word is partially related to the meaning of the word(“absurd”“ambiguous” and“hole”).There is no connection between the meaning of the word and the meaning of the word Polymorphic words(“wandering”“Linglong”“generous”“geda”“ganga”),other types of polymorphic words(“romantic”).Moreover,this part explores the relationship between the meaning of each kind of polysense words,the meaning of words and the meaning of words,combs the meaning extension path of polysense words,and summarizes the meaning extension method of polysense words.Finally,according to the characteristics of each kind of polygynous words,this paper puts forward teaching suggestions.The third chapter is a survey and analysis of the acquisition of multi-sense words by middle and senior international students.Based on the research results of the previous chapter,a questionnaire was designed around 12 polysense words.The main contents of the investigation include: the method and technique of students learning polysense words,the situation of students mastering polysense words,and the actual teaching situation of polysense words.We find that students do not know much about the relationship between meaning and meaning,and do not understand the meaning of meaning.In the fourth chapter,four teaching suggestions and five teaching principles are put forward for four kinds of polygyny words.The teacher should pay attention to the teaching of the core meaning element of the polysense words which are related to the meaning of the word and the meaning of the word.The teacher should focus on the explicit relation between meaning and meaning,and pay attention to teaching with point and face.Teachers should teach polygynous words as a whole,which have no relation between meaning and meaning.For special types of polygynous words,teachers should combine the translation teaching method to teach.Finally,this chapter designs two teaching cases according to teaching suggestions and principles.
