With the dawn of the era of "reading pictures",many traditional lifestyles have changed,and the nursery rhyme culture has gradually not been used by the public.In order for the traditional nursery rhyme culture to be passed down from generation to generation,traditional literary art such as nursery rhymes need to be combined with new art.So that the nursery rhymes can be adapted into animation,and the traditional texts can be replaced by audio-visual language.Only this way can we protect the value of the traditional nursery rhymes.This article is to reconstruct the characters,scenes and props in the nursery rhymes,so that the text can be transformed into a visual and audiovisual imaging whilst encompassing the characteristics of traditional and national culture.Thus,arousing the public’s interest to China’s vast and profound traditional culture.As a part of Chinese traditional culture,nursery rhymes should be inherited and carried forward.However,with the development of the digital age the collision between the new culture and the old culture has made nursery rhymes gradually overlooked by the public.These nursery rhymes can be adapted into animation,where the visual image reconstruction is based on the traditional and national cultural elements,which modernizes the traditional culture and gives the nursery rhymes a new expression and artistic value.The diversity of our country’s social culture has led to the richness and variety of traditional Chinese culture.Which is also acts as a kind of publicity for our traditional and national culture.Although,we might not be able to do everything to promote the traditional national culture,we can base ourselves on these national traditional cultures and values that are around us.So,we can then present them to the public in the form of this new era;the audiovisual language era.This will not only show the profoundness of the Chinese nation itself,but that the historical and cultural heritage is a great treasure in the world’s civilized art treasure house.Therefore,in this graduation piece titled "Several Gates of the City Gate",not only the textual elements of the characters,scenes and props of Nanjing Tonglu are reconstructed,but also some traditional Chinese ethnic elements are added to enrich the picture.Enriching the value of the animations’ creation.
