This study investigated 741 junior high school students and their parents,then made an analysis of data by SPSS 22.0 and constructed the model by Amos 23.0.For one thing,the paper investigated the characteristics of demographic variables on parent-child communication,self-esteem,hardy personality and life satisfaction of junior high school students.For another,the paper discussed the relationship among parent-child communication,self-esteem,hardy personality and life satisfaction,which may provide a favorable reference value for improving parent-child communication and increasing life satisfaction of junior high school students.The results are as follows:Firstly,there are significant positive correlations between parent-child communication,self-esteem,hardy personality and life satisfaction.Secondly,self-esteem has a mediating effect between parent-child communication and life satisfaction.Thirdly,hardy personality has a mediating effect between parent-child communication and life satisfactionFourthly,self-esteem and hardy personality have a chain mediating effect between parent-child communication and life satisfaction.
