This paper creatively compares and analyzes the vocabulary between the new and old versions of TCFL,and analyzes the change of TCFL vocabulary vertically.Taking the new words of Boya Chinese and Chinese course as the research object,through the statistics of the relevant information of the new words in the two sets of textbooks,the paper clarifies the vocabulary characteristics and textbook distribution characteristics of the new words in the textbooks The reasons for the appearance of new words are further discussed.At the same time,with the help of questionnaire survey,it is clear that the current situation of TCFL teachers' understanding and teaching of new words in teaching materials.It is found that there are obvious characteristics in the distribution of parts of speech,word level distribution,syllable distribution,text distribution,topic distribution and other aspects of the new words in TCFL teaching materials.In addition,some TCFL teachers have poor recognition of the new words in the teaching process,and they are not aware of the characteristics of the new words and the reasons for their inclusion,resulting in the lack of new words teaching.According to the above situation,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the characteristics of new words and the deficiencies of TCFL teachers in teaching.This paper is divided into six parts,as follows:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the purpose and significance of this study,research status,research methods,and explains the selected textbooks and vocabulary collection rules.The second part is the investigation of the basic characteristics of the new words,mainly involving the new words' part of speech,word level,syllable distribution and other lexical characteristics as well as the distribution characteristics of the new words in the textbook.The third part is to return the new words to the textbook,and analyze the distribution of the new words in the textbook text,as well as the corresponding topic distribution of the new words in the text.The fourth part analyzes the reasons for the inclusion of new words,mainly from the perspective of social development,language development and the development of TCFL textbooks.The fifth part is the investigation and analysis,mainly in the form of questionnaire to investigate the teachers' cognition and teaching of new words,and found that although the current teachers' teaching attitude to new words is more positive,but in the specific vocabulary teaching practice,the attention to new words is not enough.The sixth part is related suggestions,mainly combined with the characteristics and teaching situation of the new words in the teaching materials,from the teaching of TCFL teachers and the arrangement of TCFL teaching materials.
