After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949,marching into Tibet and liberating people of all ethnic groups in Tibet became an important part of the cause of liberation. The reactionary forces in Tibet, headed by Regency Daza,at the time, with the pampering and support of Britain and the United States, repeatedly attempted to split Tibet. In order to liberate Tibet at the right time, combat imperialist ambitions to invade Tibet and liberate Tibet peacefully. In January 1950,Mao Zedong formally instructed the Eighth Army and the Eighth Army of the Southwest Bureau of the Communist Party of China to take charge of this task of liberating Tibet and building Tibet.Against this background, the "first batch of female soldiers entering Tibet" has followed the Eighteenth Army and its independent detachments into Tibet since 1950,participating in the tasks of liberating Tibet and building Tibet. This group consists of 1,162 people, including more than 70 Tibetan female soldiers. In 1957,the central government adjusted Tibet's policies. Most of the female soldiers who entered Tibet returned to the mainland to complete the historical mission of participating in the revolutionary work in Tibet. However, the female soldiers who transferred to Tibet continued to devote themselves to the construction of Tibet to play a role in the development of new Tibet.Played an important role.Based on the previous research results, this paper intends to study the first female soldiers entering Tibet in the early days of New China from the following four aspects. The first chapter explains the background of the "first batch of female soldiers entering Tibet" when they entered Tibet, when there were internal and external problems in Tibet.Internally, the people of the lower and condescending origin were oppressed by serf owners.Externally,Tibet was covetous by most western imperialism countries.Under the coupling internal and external pressure, the Tibetans lived in hard times and it is imperative to enter Tibet and liberate Tibet. In addition, after the founding of New People's Republic of China in Beijing, the unification of the mainland was put on the agenda.Wanting in facilitation in the entry of Tibet pushed the deployment and dispatch of female soldiers to Tiber from the Central Government. The second chapter introduces the basic situation of female soldiers entering Tibet, including the status of female soldiers before entering Tibet, the female soldiers' nationality, ethnic composition, and the distribution of female soldiers in Tibet in the 18 th Army. The third chapter summarizes the preparatory work of "the first female soldiers entering Tibet" based on documentary records, oral history, and other historical materials, and the difficulties the female soldiers will face due to their physical and physiological characteristics during the process of entering Tibet. The fourth chapter analyzes the development of female soldiers entering Tibet from two perspectives: the "first batch of female soldiers entering Tibet" on the way to Tibet;after the time of entering Tibet, the positions of female soldiers engaged in and their work performance were summarized in this chapter. The fifth chapter explains the situation of demobilization of the “first batch of female soldiers entering Tibet”,and combines case analysis to illustrate that the Central Government implemented a “downsize in a large scale” of Tibetan staff in view of the actual situation in Tibet in 1957.Therefore,a great number of female soldiers came back to the mainland except those transferred to Tibet.Subsequently, the distribution and result of the first batch of female soldiers backing to inland were also summarized in this chapter. The last chapter briefly elaborates on the historical role and influence of the first female soldiers entering Tibet. In spite of a small proportion in the of 40,000 troops entering Tibet, the 1,162 and more female soldiers, mostly fresh and young graduates, performed as well as their male counterpart. After entering Tibet, the female soldiers gave full play to women's advantages and contributed greatly to the liberation of Tibet and the construction of new Tibet by uniting the senior Tibetans and citizens and serving Tibet in health, education, economic management, and financial positions.Their endurance to hardships, courage, devotion to fight, unity and patience testifies to and partly from which the spirit of “old Tibet” results, which is of great significance even until today.
