Research On The Phonetics Of Pengshui Dialect In Chongqing

Chongqing pengshui county is located in the southeast of chongqing,in the lower reaches of wujiang river,and belongs to wuling mountain area.since the phonology of sichuan dialect,there has been no systematic research on dialect phonetics in pengshui dialect,which belongs to the weak area of Chinese dialect research in chongqing.the pronunciation of pengshui dialect has the typical characteristics of chengyu dialect,but the phonetic characteristics of towns and villages in pengshui dialect are obviously different.in this paper,a field investigation and recording of the Chinese dialects in five towns in pengshui county is conducted,and the synchronic phonetic system of each investigation point is summarized and sorted out.moreover,a comparative analysis is made on the phonological characteristics of these five dialects from a diachronic level,showing the characteristics of their phonological structure and revealing the overall appearance and evolution law of the development of Chinese dialects in this region.this paper is divided into six parts.the first part,introduction,mainly describes the research status of pengshui dialect,the physical geography,historical evolution and ethnic population of pengshui county,and explains the investigation and research methods of this paper,the pronunciation of the general situation and symbols used.the second part describes the synchronic phonetic system of five dialects in pengshui county and the rules of rhyme and sound coordination.the third part compares the pronunciation of pengshui dialect with that of themiddle and ancient dialects.to reveal the evolution law of pengshui dialect.Part four compares the phonetics of pengshui dialect with those of chengyu(chongqing dialect),minjiang(chongzhou dialect)and qianbei(zunyi dialect).it is revealed that the phonetic features of pengshui are consistent with those of chengyu tablets in general,but there are also some internal phonetic differences from chengyu tablets,which are partly consistent with those of minjiang river tablets and qianbei tablets.in the fifth part,the author studies the rusheng characters of pengshui dialect and reveals that the internal differences of pengshui dialect are largely reflected in the pronunciation and merging of rusheng characters.Part six is the conclusion.
