Location word are a special kind of words in modern Chinese,in which "Li" is transformed from nouns.It is an important part of modern Chinese and also has particularity.The location word "Li" is developed from nouns.It is difficult to master the meaning of it.Its basic significance is the basic knowledge of foreign students,This paper focuses on the Chinese learners of English as the official language of their own country.With the help of HSK dynamic composition Corpus,CCL Modern Chinese Corpus and BCC Chinese Corpus,through the analysis of the relative corpus of the location word "Li",this paper summarizes the use of the word "Li".This paper also analyzes the biased corpus,classifies and describes the bias,finds out the causes of the error,and puts forward some teaching suggestions related to it,so as to carry on the concrete teaching design.This paper analyzes the semantics and combinations of the location words "Li" by using the CCL Modern Chinese Corpus and the BCC Chinese Corpus.The meaning of "Li" is divided into five kinds: place meaning,time meaning,direction meaning,abstract space meaning and other metaphorical meanings.In terms of collocation,the location word "Li" can be matched with words and phrases,as well as prepositional structure and fixed collocation.When the location word "Li" is matched with the word,it can be a preposition or a notional word.There are two kinds of cases when matching with the notional word: Pre-component+Li,Post component+Li.When“Li” is matched with a phrase,it can be either a simple phrase or a complex phrase.The preposition structure of Li is mainly analyzed “Cong...Li” and “Zai...Li”.On this basis,combined with the error corpus,this paper describes and analyzes the errors in the acquisition of the locative word "Li" by Chinese learners whose official language is English.The types of errors are summarized into three categories:omission,false addition and error generation.The causes of errors are discussed from three angles: the cause of the target language,the negative transfer of mother tongue,the influence of learning strategies and learning environment.At the end of the paper,the teaching suggestions are put forward from two aspects of teaching methods and teachers,and the teaching design is carried out.For the teaching of “Li”,contrastive translation and contextual teaching methods are adopted.In terms of teachers,we should make good use of heuristic teaching,properly carry out classroom games,and correctly deal with the errors of Chinese learners.
