Concurrent words are one of the difficulties in the study of modern Chinese academia.Concurrent words "As if" have their own characteristics in both syntactic distribution and semantic expression.For Chinese learners,"As if" is a word they often use and a grammatical item they must learn to use.This paper aims at the study of the concurrent word "As if" to help foreign students avoid errors in the acquisition of "As if",and puts forward some teaching suggestions for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language.The article is divided into four parts,as follows:The first part is the introduction,including the purpose and significance of the topic,the scope and methods of the study,the source of the corpus,the ontological research status of the concurrent word "As if" and the research status of Chinese as a foreign language.The second part studies the verb usage and adverb usage of the concurrent word "As if".As a verb,"As if" has a metaphorical meaning,while "As if" as an adverb expresses speculative mood,presupposes positive and negative conjectural meanings,and further analyses the syntactic position of the adverb "As if" and its co-occurrence with adverbs and vocative verbs.The third part examines the types of errors in the acquisition of the double-category word "As if" by middle and senior foreign students and the reasons for the errors.By means of questionnaires,this paper studies the acquisition of the concurrent word "As if" by senior and senior foreign students,and then makes an error analysis of the concurrent word "As if".In the fourth part,according to the types of "As if" errors,the author puts forward some suggestions on teaching Chinese as a foreign language textbooks and classroom teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.As for the teaching materials of Chinese as a foreign language,we should improve foreign language annotations,examples of words and expressions,and after-school exercises;as for the teaching process,we should put forward some teaching suggestions for errors in order,errors in addition and misuse.
