At present clutch words in modern Chinese vocabulary system occupies a very important position, and a growing number of scholars to join them, therefore this has become a very important part of the students learning Chinese vocabulary. As a distinctive language phenomenon in Chinese, their "Closer" and "on and off" feature for Chinese students can not fully master, so not to mention language learning for foreign students. Therefore, clutch words in teaching Chinese as foreign language teaching have a lot of difficulties the theory of parsing words function syntax, and lack specific and effective methods of teaching design. This article is based on The new practical Chinese Reader 3.At first I summarize the previous theoretical results and analyze 49 clutch words in the material and divided them into four categories——object-type,verb-complement,joint type,S-type. Then arrange its common uses,such as insert the auxiliary verb,overlap and advance and so on. T Through surveys and data analysis summary the intermediate level students in the use of words prone to errors of type, and analyze the causes of errors as influence of negative transfer of mother tongue,psychological factors and so on. And I explore some ways that make the grammar in to vocabulary and scattered teaching to help to split words in teaching Chinese as a foreign according to these. At last according to the argument, design practical teaching cases that insert the auxiliary verb,overlap and the like, and let theory connect with the practice. In practice we can test the teaching methods and their improvements and improve the effect of teaching and students daily communicative ability, making the teaching of Chinese more efficiently.In the writing process, this paper is divided into four parts:The first part: this paper states the definition, types and usage of clutch words, and introduces the clutch words briefly.The second part: Through research, we can classify and analyze their reasons of the clutch words using errors in the common.The third part: Starting from the theories and actual analysis, find some proven teaching methods and reduce the clutch words, using errors.The fourth part: Considering the actual situation of intermediate level students, we can select specific common words and make the teaching design.Epilogue part: I will summary this paper briefly and point out the inadequacy of the paper existing, focusing for future research prospects.
