This paper is a translation practice report.The author is commissioned by the English official website of Fujian Normal University to translate a series of academic exchange news.This report is based on the cases selected from the translation practice of news of academic exchanges.In the process of translation,the sentences are parsed and texts are revised.The author persistently modifies expressions and reflects on the mistakes made in renderings so as to overcome difficulties encountered in translation.The Reader's Response Theory is employed as theoretical framework.In the guidance of its translation principles,the strategies and techniques to guide the cases in renderings are analyzed in terms of lexical,sentence and textual levels.The reader-oriented principle is put emphasis on the report so that the translated versions would conform to the actual contexts of English and authentic expressions of receptors.The practice report mainly consists of five parts.In the first part,the backgrounds and significance of the translation tasks are explicitly addressed;The author strives to generalize the overview of Nida's Reader's Response Theory in second part.Through this section,expounding specifically the core tenets of this theory and proving the applicability of academic news in the guide of Nida's Reader's Response Theory are given priority;Regarding the third part,the brief introductions of the whole processes of translation are made.The processes of translation maintain three parts,namely,preparation before translation,solutions to solve during translation and modification after translation;The forth section elaborates the strategies and skills of translation on the basis of Reader's Response Theory;Conclusions of the report will be made eventually in the fifth part.
