A Practice Report On Reorganization Of Implicit Logical Relation In The Chinese Translation Of Tesco 2017 Strategic Report

Based on the practice of translating some sections of Tesco 2017 Strategic Report into Chinese,this paper adopts the strategy of reorganization of implicit logic relation as the solution to the translation problems existing in the implicit logical relations of the initial translation and discusses the effectiveness and practical value of the selected strategies.From the three aspects--the relation of implicit undertaking,the relation of implicit condition and the relation of implicit purpose,the author chooses appropriate translation strategies and skills to address translation difficulties and problems in a targeted way.Through review,summarization and analysis,the translation problems in the process of initial translation are defined as: unclear relation of implicit undertaking,unclear relation of implicit condition and unclear relation of implicit purpose.The author adopts different strategies to solve the three problems,with reorganization of word order,sentence pattern and additional translation sentence pattern for the first,the reorganization of cohesive sentence pattern and comprehensive sentence pattern for the second,and the combination of sentences and separation of sentences for the third.The case analysis and the summary of the practice show that the reorganization of implicit logical relation has some effectiveness and practical value for the translation of informational text,and the quality of translation has been improved obviously.
