The Arrangement And Research Of Shang And Zhou Bronze Vessels In The Cultural Relics Room Of Tianjin Normal University

Since the 1940 s and 1950 s,the cultural relics room of Tianjin Normal University has collected many bronzes.The Shang and Zhou bronze wares collected by Tianjin Normal University's Cultural Relics Room are complete in categories,rich in shape,inscriptions,and decorative features.But for a long time due to the lack of systematic reorganization and research,and adequate protection and utilization,these ancient relics are rarely recorded and are not well known,which is not conducive to the value of their play.Therefore,this paper selects 17 pieces of Shang and Zhou bronzes with good appearance and representative shape,which are divided into seven categories: food,wine,water,musical instruments,weapons,chariots and horses,miscellaneous tools.By referring to archaeological excavated materials and related achievements of scholars,this paper comprehensively uses archaeological typology,standard dating method,cultural factor analysis and other research methods to conduct a preliminary arrangement and research of this batch of bronzes.In this paper,the types,names and dates of these bronzes were basically determined through research.The possible flora,ethnicity,and origin of the specific objects were also discussed.This study finds that the Shang and Zhou Bronze Age in the collection of the Cultural Relics Room of Tianjin Normal University has a large span and a complete range of utensils,which can basically reflect the context of the development and evolution of Chinese bronze civilization.At the same time,these artifacts from different regions and cultures can converge here,reflecting that Tianjin as one of the northern economic and cultural centers in modern times has a strong attraction for cultural relics and has certain significance for studying the history of modern Tianjin cultural relics collection.In short,the Shang and Zhou bronzes collected by Tianjin Normal University have high scientific research and display appreciation value,and should be strengthened for protection and utilization.This article also explores the feasibility of protection and utilization,which is of great significance for the protection of cultural relics in colleges and universities.At the same time,many of the artifact images in this article are published for the first time,providing some new materials for related academic research.
