Social exclusion often occurs in life. The neglect of classmates in campus life, the exclusion of colleagues in work scenes, and cold violence in the family all have negative effects on individuals.Existing studies have found that social exclusion reduces the pro-social behavior of individuals, and donation as a typical pro-social behavior in people's daily lives will also be negatively affected by social exclusion.Individual donation behavior is not only affected by factors such as personality and income level, but also by social exclusion factors. Moreover, the study found that individuals who experience social exclusion will be affected by their donation behavior. Therefore, mitigating the negative effects of social exclusion and enhancing the individual's donation behavior after exclusion have practical significance for mental health interventions. In recent years,in addition to paying attention to the impact of social exclusion on individual aggressive behavior, some researchers have also begun to pay attention to the impact of social exclusion on pro-social behavior, and believe that it should pay attention to alleviating the negative effects of social exclusion on individual pro-social behavior, such as self-attention.The relationship between self-attention and social exclusion is also concerned by researchers.Related studies have found that social exclusion affects the individual's level of self-attention.The researchers found that self-attention is also related to donor behavior. Therefore, this study explores the impact of social exclusion on donor behavior based on previous research, and further explores whether self-attention can regulate the negative impact of social exclusion on donor behavior. This study recruited students from a university in Sichuan as subjects, and conducted a total of two experimental studies. The purpose of the first experiment was to verify the effectiveness of the recall paradigm, and to examine the impact of social exclusion types on the donor behavior.Experiment 1 used a single factor(socialexclusion type: social neglect/social rejection/experiment control group)design in the test room. The independent variable was social exclusion and the dependent variable was donation behavior.Donation behavior was based on the willingness to donate. The result of experiment 1 found that the recall paradigm can cause different feelings of rejection. And different types of social exclusion will affect the donation behavior of the subjects. The willingness of the social neglect group to donate is significantly higher than that of the social rejection group. The purpose of Experiment 2 is whether self-attention can alleviate the negative impact of social exclusion on donor behavior. The second experiment is 2(social exclusion type: social neglect/social rejection)× 2(self-attention: self-attention start/experiment control group). The independent variables are the type of social exclusion and self-attention,of which self-attention adopts the starting paradigm, the dependent variable is the behavior of donation, and the actual donation amount of the subjects is the indicator.Experiment 2 found that self-attention can alleviate the negative effects of social exclusion. The following conclusions were obtained through this study:(1)The recall paradigm can effectively induce different sense of social exclusion in the subjects.(2)The type of social exclusion affects the behavior of individual donation. The type of social neglect is higher than the type of social rejection.(3)Self-concern has a moderating effect on the impact of the donor's behavior under different types of social exclusion.Self-concern makes the individual's donation behavior improved after being socially excluded.
