With the continuous expansion of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,more and more teachers are engaged in the research of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and more tend to explore teaching methods.The situational approach has been developed for nearly a hundred years since it came into being.It pays attention to the real situation and is very popular with teachers of Chinese as a foreign language.It is very helpful to achieve the purpose of communication.During my internship,I found that existential sentences,as an important grammatical phenomenon in modern Chinese,have a high frequency of use,but there are many problems in learning and using existential sentences.In order to help foreign students better grasp the meaning and usage of existential sentences,after a comparative study of several teaching methods,the author decided to use the advantages of Situational Method to carry out the teaching research of existential sentences.This paper first studies the characteristics of Situational Method and existential sentence itself,and finds that situational method can be well applied to the teaching of existential sentence in TCFL,and analyzes the ways and significance of Situational Method in its teaching.Secondly,the author collects and analyzes the errors of the existing sentences from three aspects: the examination papers,the daily work and the corpus.Then according to the types of error analysis,and for each type of error to find the corresponding situational teaching countermeasures.At last,after the preliminary analysis of all aspects,the teaching design of existential sentences is carried out in stages,and classroom practice is carried out according to the teaching design.According to the responses of the students in class,the feedback of the teachers after class and the comparison with the parallel classes,it is found that the situational approach plays a positive role in the existential sentences of TCFL and helps to reduce the errors.
