A Report On The Simulated C-E Consecutive Interpreting Of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Forum For Modern Logistics Industrial Growth From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

The development of the modern logistics industry is of considerable significance in promoting regional cooperation along the Lancang-Mekong River.This simulated consecutive interpreting is based on the 2017 Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Forum for Modern Logistics Industrial Growth in Kunming.Through this simulated CI,the author has found that it is a valuable chance to apply what has been learned in class into practice and to accumulate experience by actual doing.Under Skopos theory,the author has made extensive case analyses in the interpreted texts to discover the problems existing in the simulated CI process and find out solutions to deal with them.There are some coping strategies and reference materials in this report that can be used in similar conferences,such as interpreting methods,glossary lists,and suggestions for interpreting practice.The author hopes to share such a good experience with other MTI students to enrich their learning and also wishes that this report can provide other interpreters with some useful terminologies and references about the logistics industry.This report mainly consists of five parts.The first part is the task description of interpreting practice.The second part is the description of the simulated consecutive interpreting process.The third part mainly demonstrates the core thought and the application of skopos theory.The fourth part is the case studies,and the fifth part is the summary of this report.
