False Memory Effect Of Individual Self,relational Self And Collective Self:based On DRM Paradigm

Memory is very important to our daily life,and there is a close relationship between self and memory.In the study of the relationship between self and memory,a large number of researchers paid attention to the influence of self on correct memory,and found that individual self,relational self and collective self have better performance on correct memory than other reference conditions.Some studies have found a covariation relationship between correct and false memories.However,the performance of individual self,relational self and collective self in false memory is not very clear.This study uses a combination of the self-reference effect paradigm and the DRM paradigm to examine the performance of self on false memory from different perspectives of individual self,relational self,and collective self.This article contains a total of 3 experiments.Experiment 1 uses self,general others(Li Ming),and neutral conditions(blank)as reference conditions.During the learning phase,each reference condition is matched with the DRM vocabulary,and then the participants are given an unexpected recognition test,Participants reconfirmed vocabulary learned,irrelevant vocabulary,and critical lures not seen before.Then analyze the participants' false recognition rate on key decoy words and the correct recognition rate of learned words.It was found that the self-reference had better memory performance on the correct memory than other reference conditions,but the critical lures there were no significant differences between the reference conditions on false memory.Experiment 2 uses mother and friend as the relational self,and examines the relationship between the self and the relational self(mother / friend)and Li Ming as reference conditions.The results show that self reference and relational self reference are in the correct memory It has better performance than other reference conditions,but there is no significant difference in each reference condition on false memory.Experiment 3 used the collective self as the reference and used the self,inner group(family / school),and outer group as reference conditions to examine the correct and false memory performance of the collective self.As a result,it was found that self-reference and inner-group reference possess The memory effect is better than the other reference condition,but the results of the false memory are consistent with those of Experiment 1 and Experiment 2,that is,no significant difference in each reference condition is found.It shows that self has a significant promotion effect on correct memory,but it has no more significant advantage on false memory than other reference conditions.The effect of self on false memory is not significantly different from other reference conditions,which may be affected by the coding strategy used by self to process information materials.
