The Research Of Depression On False Memory For Emotional Information

Objective:(1) To investigate the depression’s truth and false memory for emotional words.(2) To investigate the depression’s false memory and cognition’s bias for negative events.Methods:the experiment1used DRM paradigm, there were12word lists that have semantically converging of the critical lures on the computer screen presented to the subjects, after the presentation, the subjects were asked to finish a recognition test. The experiment2used misinformation of negative events paradigm, first, the subjects saw the questionnaire about the video, then played the video to the subjects, after that, the subjects finish the questionnaire.Results:(1) the depression has less truth memories for learned words and more false memories for critical lures, and has a lower response than controls.(2) The depression subjects makes no difference between positive words and neutral words on truth memories, health controls has more truth memories for positive words than neutral words; the depression subjects has more truth memories for negative learned words, the health controls has more truth memory for positive learned words; the depression subjects has no difference for positive critical lures, neutral critical lures and negative critical lures, while health controls has more false memories for positive critical lures than neutral critical lures.(3) For the severe negative events, the depression has more false memories; for the events that in the disadvantage situations, the depression has more negative cognition.(4) the subjects has a faster response on false memories for critical lures than truth memories for learned words.Conclusions:(1) the depression has deficits on memory.(2) the depression has mood-congruent memory effects.(3) the depression has more negative cognition for the things that in the disadvantage situation.(4) the mechanism between false memory for critical lures and truth memory for learned words is different.
