In the study of self and memory,a large number of researchers have focused on the influence of self-reference on correct memory, and the results show that compared with other reference conditions,self-reference conditions have better correct memory. Some research results show that the condition of self-reference covariant relation with the correct memory and false memory, and some research results show that the self-reference effect on the correct memory and false memory, this paper analyzes the reasons of these results are inconsistent task may be due to the different,so the result is also different.DRM paradigm is a classical paradigm for inducing associative false memory in experiments.Previous studies have shown that increasing the number of key bait words can make the recognition results of DRM vocabulary more reliable. In this study,we combined the self-referential effect paradigm with the DRM paradigm containing three key decoys to explore the effects of different volumes of DRM vocabulary on correct and false self-referential memory. In Experiment 1,we investigated whether the correct memory and false memory presented a covariant trend in the condition of self-reference,that is,self-reference promoted both correct memory and false memory.A single-factor and two-level insubject design was adopted.Fifty randomly selected college students were asked to try to remember each word and which reference it came with. Each stimulus was presented for1500 milliseconds, with intervals of 500 milliseconds. At the end of the learning phase,a recognition test was given. The results showed that the correct memory had a selfreference effect, and the false memory also had a self-reference effect, that is,the correct memory and the false memory of the self-reference condition showed a covariation trend. In experiment 2,we investigated the change of correct and false memory under selfreference condition after decreasing the lexical capacity.A single-factor and two-level insubject design was adopted.Fifty randomly selected college students were asked to try to remember each word and which reference it came with. Each stimulus was presented for1500 milliseconds, with intervals of 500 milliseconds. At the end of the learning phase,a recognition test was given. The results showed that the correct memory had a selfreference effect, and the false memory also had a self-reference effect. That is to say,the correct memory and the false memory of the self-reference condition still showed a covariation trend after the lexical capacity was reduced.Combining the two experiments, the results of the present study show that when the participants associate the contents of memory with self, the correct memory is promoted and the false memory is increased, and the amount of word list capacity has little effect on the co-variation trend of the correct and false memory.
