Originated from the British Arts and Crafts Movement,the design of naturalistic style has been endowed with modern significance since the advent of production homogenization and fast-paced life.The naturalistic packaging design of female cosmetics aims to combine nature with the emotional and psychological characteristics of female consumers.It emphasizes the harmony between man and nature,nature and design,design and society,leading people to maintain a quiet and peaceful attitude towards life.In essence,such design is viewed as the revival of nature and real emotionStarting from the rise of naturalism,the paper sorts out the concepts and characteristics of naturalistic design and conducts a comparative analysis between eastern traditional ideology and modern design philosophy,both embodied in such style,expounding its expression in the contemporary design.Secondly,through the review of female cosmetics packaging concepts and design status,the paper expounds the reason and significance of introducing naturalistic style into female cosmetics packaging design in association with the female consumer psychology reflected on cosmetic packaging.Thirdly,four principles of contemporary female cosmetic packaging design under naturalistic style are proposed,that is original,organic,durable and unconscious,which provides the overall direction for naturalistic style to integrate into female cosmetic packaging design.Finally,four application strategies are concluded visual language(natural),aesthetic context(simple),emotional resonance(real)and form of expression(peaceful),and the feasibility of these strategies is illustrated by practical cases so as to provide the theoretical basis for the development and application of female cosmetic packaging design.
