Phubbers are a group of people who are too busy looking down at their phones to take care of anything or anyone around them. There are also a large number of "phubbing" parents who bow their heads in front of their children.Studies have found that parental phubbing has a negative impact on children and adolescents' mental health and behavioral adaptation.Parental phubbing has become a new risk factor affecting the healthy development of children and teenagers in the Internet age,Negative emotions and low self-esteem have significant effects on adolescents. Therefore,in order to reduce the negative effects of unhealthy mobile phone use across generations,it is both important and necessary to investigate the internal psychological mechanism of parental phubbing affecting the healthy development of children and adolescents.Ego depletion is a temporary decrease in the ego's ability or willingness to perform volitional activities, this phenomenon is a key factor in teenagers' decision to act.In ego-depletion theory under the framework of this study, put forward that the egodepletion is parental phubbing of externalizing problems among adolescents, and respectively from the cognitive and emotional two paths using the questionnaire method to test the mediation process,a junior high school in xinyang to a total of a questionnaire survey was conducted among 700 students of grade 3,using SPSS software for data analysis, the results show that :There was a significant negative correlation between parental phubbing and self-esteem,and a significant positive correlation between parental phubbing and externalization, negative emotions, and ego-depletion.There was a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and negative emotions and ego-depletion,while there was a significant positive correlation between negative emotions and ego-depletion.Externalization was significantly negatively correlated with self-esteem and positively correlated with negative emotions and ego depletion. In addition, negative emotions and self-esteem play an intermediary role in ego-depletion in parental phubbing and externalizing problem behavior.Conclusion:(1)parental phubbing will increase externalized problem behaviors of teenagers;(2)the parental phubbing increases the ego-depletion of teenagers by increasing their negative emotions, which leads to the increase of externalizing problem behaviors;(3)the parental phubbing increases the ego-depletion of teenagers by decreasing their self-esteem,which leads to the increase of externalizing problem behaviors. Therefore, the parental phubbing can cause ego-depletion through the dual paths of increasing negative emotions and decreasing self-esteem,and reduce the selfcontrol of teenagers, thus increasing the risk of externalizing problem behaviors.
