This translation report selects the first three chapters of Still Me by Jojo Moyce as the translation practice text. The source text belongs to the expressive text. The text focuses on the heroine's brave pursuit of a new life. The words used to create characters are vivid and appealing, which brings challenges to the translator. Therefore, the main part of this report analyzes and discusses the representation of characters' images in translation. In a novel, the shaping of characters' images not only connects the whole plot, but also indicates the theme of the article. Therefore, the shaping of the characters' images plays a pioneering role in this thesis. The selected text not only displays the linguistic characteristics of literary texts, but also embodies the vivid characteristics through dialogues. The positive description concludes the character's appearance, movement, expression and psychology. The side description concludes the description of other characters and environment.Literal translation and following the original syntactic order cannot achieve the ideal translation effect. Therefore, during the process of translation, dividing into parts, adjusting word order, changing part of speech, extending and combining with specific context are used to improve the translation effect. This translation practice makes the author have a further understanding of the representation of characters' images in the translation of a novel.Meanwhile, the author summarizes the translation methods and skills in this translation practice, and reflects on the shortcomings, which not only improves the author's translation skills, but also hopes to provide some ideas for the translation of similar texts.
