| Interpretive theory, established by Danica·Seleskovitch, a famous French translator and translation theorist, is of great importance in guiding translation practice. Four texts centered on discussion of inheritance relation among works, relationship between reading ability and creation, and interaction and influence between modern electronic instruments and traditional reading selected as translation practice texts, with interpretative theory as a guide, this article analyzes problems appeared in English-Chinese translation of expressive texts from aspects of vocabulary, syntax, discourse and culture, discusses effectual strategy and method in translation of expressive text, then summaries experience and shortages in translation. |
