Interpreting users usually work as the judge in interpreting quality assessment.Given the fact that some users do not have a good command of the working languages, the first thing they notice is the fluency of interpretation, which can be the most intuitive feeling that the users get. Therefore,to ensure their interpreting fluency is critical for interpreters. That being said, interpreters should assess their performance in terms of fluency after each task so as to make steady progress. This report elaborates on how the author prepares, conducts and reviews a consecutive interpreting practice within the framework of speech disfluency. The author was recommended as an interpreter for the Green Tea Promotion Meeting in Jiangxi province. In this report, the author reviews her performance during the whole process from the perspective of speech disflency.Based on the author's interpretation practice at the Green Tea Promotion Meeting, the report consists of five parts. In the first part, the author gives a brief introduction to the promotion meeting, the speaker and his company, and the interpreter herself. In the second part,a detailed description of the whole process of the interpreting task is reviewed, including the acceptance and preparation of the task, the on-site interpreting and post-interpreting evaluation. The third part elaborates on disfluency, the theoretical basis for explaining the interpreting task,in which the author introduces disfluency in terms of its definition and impact on consecutive interpreting, and provides the analytical framework for the case analysis. In the fourth part, guided by the related theories in speech disfluency, the author analyzes her performance from the three causes of disfluency. The fifth part is a conclusion to the author's interpreting performance and this report.Through reflection, the author finds that the disfluency has high frequency of occurrence in her interpreting performance and draws lessons from this interpreting practice. In this process, the author has not only gained better understanding of the phenomenon of disfluency, but also built a more solid foundation for future interpreting learning. This report also provides a fresh perspective for the student interpreters to assess their after-class interpreting performances. Therefore, the author suggests that the student interpreters should be engaged in real-scenario practice to polish their skills.
