This paper takes the Cello Concerto "Flowing Sleeves" made by Zhou Tian in 2018 as the research object,combining with the demonstration method of the case study,combing the work from the pitch organization and polyphony techniques,the relationship between the Solo Cello and the band,and the form structure,so as to reveal how the composer combines the Chinese music elements with the western composition techniques to form a musical language with both eastern and Western temperament Speech.The main part of the paper is divided into three chapters: the first chapter studies the pitch organization and polyphony techniques in the horizontal and vertical directions,looking for the characteristics of pitch materials.The second chapter studies the relationship between the Solo cello and the orchestra,as well as the composer's inheritance and innovation of the relationship between the two in the traditional Concerto.The third chapter studies the structure of each movement and discusses the embodiment of the principle of reproducibility in the free form and overall layout.
