Opera Activities In Cities

Chinese Theater Arts has a long history,is an important part of Chinese traditional culture also closely related to the development of Chinese citizen class and urban culture.Pingju is one of the representative and influential local arts,its formation and development are closely related to the city of Shenyang.However,due to the impact of popular culture and the fast-paced changes of modern urban life,at present,in most cities including Shenyang,the theater art has lost its mainstream status.For a long time,the research on opera troupes has been mainly confined to rural areas and towns.This dissertation takes the current folk troupes which are active in Shenyang as the research objects,be divided into four chapters.The first chapter focuses on the history,introduces the development of Pingju in Shenyang and the development of Shenyang Pingju folk troupes.The second chapter defines the specific scope of the research object,describes the overall situation of the current Shenyang folk troupes,and divides it into four types according to the different ways of organization and management,and selects the typical cases to analyze.The third chapter focus on the performance activities of the troupe,according to the organization of the performance,the presentation of the stage,audience and the market,summarizes the operation mode of Shenyang Pingju folk troupes,analyzes the artistic characteristics of its performance,and explores the deep connection between audience and market.The fourth chapter mainly discusses some new characteristics of Shenyang folk troupes,and analyzes the important role of folk troupes in promoting the inheritance and development of opera from the perspective of intangible cultural heritage protection.This dissertation uses art ethnography research paradigm to analyze the survival and development of Shenyang folk troupes from the perspective of art anthropology.The field research is based on the cultural space of the city.The purpose is to show the real existence of traditional arts in modern cities,and to explore its significance and value in urban cultural life.
