Research On Chen Ying's Novels

Chen Ying's love and marriage novels were popular for a time,and her works received attention from the fiction and literary critics,which established her position and made her an important female writer in the history of modern Chinese literature.Based on this,this thesis takes the not fully understood Chen Ying's novels as the research object to carry out the research,aimed at analyze characteristics of Chen Ying's novels in detail.The thesis intends to carry out research from three aspects,including spirit direction,character writing and narrative strategy on the basis of previous former related research and state some comments.Combined with Chen Ying's experience and the background at that time,the author is placed in the history of literature,and the meaning and connotation of her literary creation are analyzed.The aim is to enrich the research results of Chen Ying's novels.In addition to the preface and conclusion,this paper is divided into three chapters.The first is the spiritual direction of Chen Ying's novels.The first is female consciousness.Chen Ying's love and marriage novels reveal a new and true gender world,which is an important way to interpret the growth process of modern women.The second is the consciousness of the common people.The writer paid attention to the plight of the common people at the bottom of the society.Finally,there is the revolutionary consciousness.Chen Ying's revolutionary novels are divided into two periods according to the time,showing the difficulties and hardships of the revolutionaries in the process of participating in the revolution and the liberation of women,and expressing the writer's deep concern for the revolutionaries.Under the influence of left movement trends,Chen Ying's works naturally reveal her profound understanding of proletarian revolutionary methods and paths.The second is character writing of Chen Ying's novels.The writer creates the character image according to the law of beauty,thus has the unique esthetic nature.Chen Ying's novels have created many contemporary literary images.In this chapter,these literary images are divided into three categories: the images of intellectual women and revolutionary women,the images of men in their marriage,and the images of sentient beings in the bottom society.The author's unique way of looking at the world is also analyzed.The third is the narrative strategy of Chen Ying's novels.Based on Zhao Yiheng's interpretation of "narrative orientation",this paper discusses the diversity of narrative orientation in Chen Ying's novels.This paper analyzes the characteristics of narrative space and narrative time of Chen Ying's novels from three aspects: the focus on "small scenes",the free development of space scenes and time scenes,and the application of psychological time.Finally,the narrative structure characteristics of Chen Ying's novels are discussed by three modes: nested narrative structure,two-line contrastive advance structure and "anti-integrity" narrative structure.
