A Research On Characteristic Of Compositional Techniques In Pagh Younghi’s "GO-UN NIM"

Pagh Younghi,South Korean contemporary female composer,was born on November 30,1945 in Qingzhou,South Korea.Her writing techniques usually mix Korean culture and music style together.This characteristic has become her unique musical language.In her works,there are usually "Mutterakkord","dove tail" and other style features.This paper will analyze her orchestral work "GO-UN NIM"(beautiful you)from the aspects of structural layout,the composition and development of core theme materials,the organizational characteristics,the arrangement and characteristics of tempo and beat,the integration of performance techniques and Korean traditional music sound,the use of percussion instrument group and the expansion of sound space.This paper analyzes the application of modern composition techniques of "GO-UN NIM" and its integration with Korean traditional music culture from various perspectives.It can be used as a reference for young composers in their learning process.And let’s think about how to integrate the traditional music and culture of our nation into the modern composing techniques.
