Study On Wang Shicen's Landscape Painting

The twentieth century was an era of intense collisions in artistic concepts,Traditional Chinese painting has undergone unprecedented changes under the influence of a complex and changing social environment and cultural context.As a region with profound cultural heritage and artistic atmosphere,Anhui has also begun to actively carry out the "modernization" transformation under the role of the "new and old alternation" and the "China-West conflict".Anhui painters with a sense of responsibility for the times are rooted in traditional Chinese painting,breaking through the shackles in order to seek their own appearance.As one of the "Eights in Anhui",Wang Shicen emphasized on the tradition of painting in the early days of painting creation,taking Anhui's profound cultural and artistic environment as the background,focusing on deepening the life and nature,studying home painting,and inheriting and promoting the Xin'an School of Painting He has made outstanding contributions and spared no effort to promote the development of Anhui's fine arts and modern Chinese painting.It is also based on his contributions that Wang Shicen is known as the founder of Anhui Fine Arts in the 20 th century.Wang Shicen was taught by Mr.Huang junbi,then he learned from nature,never stopped painting,exhausted his life,and finally became a school of his own.He came from tradition.Under the conflict and fusion of Chinese and Western cultures,he not only inherited the essence of traditional Chinese painting,but also absorbed the beneficial elements of Western painting,forming a unique and elegant appearance,and achieved outstanding results in the field of landscape painting.However,Wang Shicen is not satisfied with self-progress.He always adheres to the spirit of teaching,tiresome spirit and elegant character to confer his life-long learning to students,devoting his whole life to the inheritance,innovation and teaching of Chinese painting.Unfortunately,with the change of times,people know little about Wang Shicen.It is hoped that through this research,the academic circles will have a comprehensive understanding of Wang Shicen's landscape paintings,and stimulate more people to become interested in Wang Shicen's art.This article focuses on Wang Shicen's artistic life,creative staging,artistic characteristics and artistic achievements in four aspects: objectively discusses Wang Shicen's landscape painting through multiple methods such as image method,interview method,document method and comparative method.Through combing the artist's artistic life,exploring the causes of his style and thinking of his character,the author enters into Wang Shicen's artistic world,seeking the reasons for the evolution of his painting appearance in different periods,summarize the painting process of using nature as a teacher,pioneering and innovating,and developing himself in his more than 80 years of artistic life,and then go deep into the imagery world of his landscape paintings,and analyze the language and basic characteristics of his paintings.Finally,the thesis expounds Wang Shicen's artistic achievements in landscape painting from macro and micro perspectives and their influence on Xin'an school painting,and analyzes the inspiration and educational significance of his painting art to post-academic studies.
